Parallel, Redundant, Multi-Tiered Network Architecture
All of SiteSecureNet's servers are housed in private datacenter space in The Planet data center facility located in Houston, Texas.
The Planet has taken special care in building one of the best network routing and switching infrastructures in the industry. Designed without single points of failure, The Planet's network operates at full redundancy across multiple layers that contain redundant core routers, core distribution switches and carrier diversity.
This diagram below illustrates The Planet's multiple routers and switches at the primary network layers:

The Planet's High-Powered, Screaming-Fast Network
The Planet delivers unmatched network speed and capacity, which eliminates bandwidth traffic jams and roadblocks to assure instantaneous response to your hosted servers and applications. By using multiple Tier 1 telecom providers including AT&T, NTT and AboveNet, along with numerous private peering arrangements, The Planet provide more than 250 Gbps of transit and peering capacity. With network Points of Presences (POPs) in each of our data centers in Dallas, Houston and London along with dedicated POPs in Virginia and California, The Planet provides global reach and lower latency by removing network bottlenecks for your hosted servers.

Key Features of The Planet's Global Network
- Fully redundant network architecture with no single points of failure
- Industry-leading network bandwidth capacity: 250+ gigabits/second
- Multiple layers of network security
- Centralized network monitoring in the Network Operations Center (NOC)
- Multiple concurrent, high-capacity Tier 1 bandwidth providers
- Network POPs across 5 cities and 2 continents
Multiple-Layer Network Security
The Planet takes network reliability and performance to the next level. We maximize our network security protection by adding Cisco Guard XT appliances and Arbor Peakflow protection against DDoS attacks that could harm your business.

The Planet combines cutting-edge security technology, best practices and a team of certified senior-level professionals to help ensure that you can safely manage and grow your business. Using state-of-the-art traffic profiling and anomaly detection capabilities, we manage and secure our networks, pinpoint and troubleshoot network attacks, monitor your servers and applications, and analyze network security performance issues.
DDoS Attack Response
Once a DDos attack is detected and confirmed by the Network Operations Center, the affected traffic is routed through a DDoS Mitigation Service. This filters out the attack traffic and allows the legitimate traffic to continue to its original destination. When the attack has subsided, the original direct path between the destination and the rest of the Internet is restored.
